I grew up in Pasadena, Texas by way of Saigon, Vietnam. My parents instilled in me the “Immigrant Mentality” – work hard, study hard and the American Dream can be yours. Life was tough at times for my four siblings and I but we had some help along the way. Mr. Glenn Leon Rogers, the man I was named after, help my family navigate life in a new country. And he gave me one of the most important lessons in my life. “If you find yourself to be fortunate in this life then always pay it forward.”

I didn’t always want to be a Dentist. Teeth, gums, and saliva were the furthest things from my mind during my college years. But as fate would have it, my sister, who was also a Dentist, needed someone to help fill in at her office. So after a week of being her “Dental Assistant,” she asked me a question that would change my life forever. “Do you want to be a loser for the rest of your life?” And of course, I didn’t and this led to a long conversation about why I would make a Good Dentist.

One of the best things to ever happen to me was meeting my wife in Dental School. Together, we opened Denton Smiles Dentistry in Denton, Texas. With a lot of hardwork and help from amazing mentors, we were able to create the Million Dollar practice of our dreams. My goal was not only to impact the lives of my patients but the lives of my team as well. I thought I was done. But a mentor challenged me to make an impact beyond the four walls of my practice. Because I had more to share.

I had something to say. Something to share. And something of value to give. And those desires manifested itself into Nifty Thrifty Dentists – a platform that help Dental Professionals save money in their practices. From podcasts to live video streams, Nifty Thrifty became a community that allowed its members to thrive and grow. And with a Facebook Group of over 37k members strong, Dental professionals no longer have to feel that they practice alone. That is the power of Connection.

As the Nifty Thrifty Dentist movement grew, so did my ability to connect with more people. Soon I was making an impact beyond my Industry, speaking at the largest entrepreneurial events and being featured on the most influential platforms. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have this level of influence. But then I thought, if I can do this then anyone can. And that is when I stumbled upon my “Why.”

I feel that your visit to this site is a “turning point” for you. Everything that has happened in my life and the journey you have been on has led us to this point. I hope to PAY IT FORWARD to you by providing valuable information, whether that be on this site or within my courses. Because it’s my “WHY” to help others become the entrepreneurs and influencers they were meant to be.
