3 Platforms to Outsource Your Tasks

A

If you’re here, you’ve been blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit. And while anyone can fall in love with the idea of running a business, only the bravest will take steps to actually go about doing it. Good for you! Hopefully, I can help you turn your vision into a reality.

One of the first pieces of advice I like to give to aspiring entrepreneurs is to start with baby steps—there’s no need to take some giant leap of faith. You might want to get out of your day job now, but slow and steady wins the race. You can’t transition overnight into running a business. Not a sustainable business, at least.

It might be wisest to make your way into running a business by starting a side hustle and slowly expanding it. From there, it’s pivotal to get resourceful and shed any stubbornness. If you think you can handle everything yourself and assume you can wear all the hats, you might be in for a rude awakening. First off, doing it yourself just isn’t the best use of your time. Secondly, it’s a recipe for losing your sanity.

It’s better to outsource the low-level tasks instead so you can focus on what really matters (and what you’re actually passionate about). So, here are three platforms to outsource your tasks to.

1. Onlinejobs.ph

This is a job board for virtual assistants in the Philippines. You can find amazing team members there who can perform a variety of tasks at affordable rates. Personally, I’ve found tremendous value in outsourcing to this platform.

There are a wide array of skillsets you can expect from these Filipino professionals. Do you need more nuanced skillsets, like WordPress developers or SEO experts? Or are you in need of more general services, like content writers and graphic designers?

This is a great resource to find everything you need to run a virtual business—or even a brick-and-mortar business—at a very affordable price. The people you’d hire on this platform are good to hire as full-time team members; look on this site to hire someone for the long-term rather than for a singular project.

All you have to do is log in, create an account, and it’s smooth sailing from there. You can search for resumes, post job openings, and so on. It’s pretty self-explanatory. Just make sure the person you’re looking at hiring is a real person. You can look at their “ID Proof” score to gauge authenticity. From there, just use your intuition to measure whether they’re honestly rating their skills or seem too good to be true.

2. Fiverr

Fiverr.com is a platform where you can find freelancers to perform specific, specialized tasks. Do you have a video you need to be edited by a professional videographer? Do you have a podcast you want a stellar voiceover intro for? Fiverr has an asortment of professionals advertising these services and more.

Just like Onlinejobs.ph, you can search for resumes or put up job postings. The site was built on the premise that everything is only $5, but most vendors upsell and charge much more than that. In that sense, it can definitely be a more expensive alternative when compared to Onlinejobs.ph.

On the plus side, these freelancers are already experts in their field.  There shouldn’t need to be an investment of your valuable time to train them or show them the ropes. You can confidently send projects their way and expect top-of-the-line results. It’s on you to find someone you trust to do that, though. They are people, after all. If you choose somebody who is sketchy, asks for a very low price, or has bad ratings,  outsourcing to them provides lackluster results.

Unlike Onlinejobs.ph, you shouldn’t be looking on Fiverr for any long-term team members. These professionals typically work on a project-by-project basis.

3. All-Star Outsourcing

Full disclosure, I’m a partner in this company. And the reason I’m a partner is the same reason you’re reading this blog post: I want to help folks like you outsource tasks and grow a business.

Onlinejobs.ph and Fiverr.com are both great platforms, don’t get me wrong. I have a problem, though, with how the freelancer(s) you hire on those platforms aren’t super reliable. If you don’t hire the right team member on Onlinejobs.ph, it turns into a bad experience for the whole team. Likewise, if you hire a poor freelancer on Fiverr, both parties are left frustrated and bitter about money and time poorly spent.

In that context, All-Star Outsourcing provides a solution. With All-Star Outsourcing, results are reliably impressive. From video creation to podcast editing to designs for social media and more, taking this route means you’re basically outsourcing to a team of A-players. How do you like the writing of this blog, for example? It was written by an All-Star Outsourcing team member.

It’s important to note that All-Star Outsourcing is more like Fiverr—outsourcing on this platform is done on a project-by-project basis. But, unlike Fiverr, there’s no room for error on your part. The time it takes to go through every freelancer and figure out whether they’re worth your hard-earned money only to be disappointed just doesn’t happen. You can trust in All-Star Outsourcing to deliver on the value you’re expecting.
